Oh moon! Your existence
in the night sky,
Is to inscribe a message
of eternal love,
On the vast canvas of
nature.
Sun, the king of the
universe,
Presents to his
adoring queen earth,
A black saree,
Decorated
with numerous pearls of stars,
And a splendorous white-rose
as you in the center.
Or maybe he pasted a
dot of vermilion,
On the forehead of the
night sky,
To keep the vagabond
luminaries cautious,
Of his marital status
with the earth,
In his absence.
He loves her so intently,
That even when he
rests behind the horizon,
He keeps peeping at his
beloved,
Through his eyes of the
sunlight,
Reflected from your
surface.
Beautiful use of metaphor.
