BONDAGE

One and the same are the shackles of sorrow
                                         and the chains of breath,
So how can I free myself from sorrow,
until I am on the earth.

Easy Vrs. Uneasy

It is very easy to float in the favorable current,
Of a flowing river like dry leaves and lifeless corpses,
Whereas it not easy to swim in the crosscurrent of the river.

It is easy to walk along in the serpentine way of the devil,
Live for fun, pleasure and comfort selfishly as many on the earth live,
Whereas it not easy to walk on the path of truth, honesty and divinity.

It is easy to open cork of a champagne bottle in a party,
Share a dance floor with different partners each night,
Whereas it not easy to write and sing for you in your absence.

It is easy to confide you selflessly of what I feel about the things,
To digest your scolds, negligence and misunderstandings,
Whereas it is not easy to stop worshiping you, who reigns my soul.

It is very easy to say "good bye" to you,
Block the ways of my sights and words reaching your territory,
Whereas it is not that easy to wipe you out of my memory.

Be it tough, be it smooth, be it easy, be it uneasy,
I know it is not impossible to hold you forever in my core,
It is not impossible to walk in the God’s way,
And once I promised to do it, I will never roll back in it.

BLOCK ME

The day, you came to my sight for the first time,
I looked straight into your eyes,
Tried to measure their depth,
Read the truth behind each of their winks.
And assessed what and how much they wanted from me.

I traced an unexplored ocean of love in them,
A wish of oneness in your innocent glittering glances,
A longing for a true worshiper of your contents,
Gradually my eyes began to spark with their shining,
The truth is that, you caught the fancy of my eyes.

I fell for their presence more and more in my proximity,
Want to see them excited with pleasure all day night
I wished them to twinkle in my sincere worship,
Was it selfishness on my part?
Was my love wishing it only for me and not for you?
Was it not your desired deep devotion?

You got scared with my excessive possessiveness,
Did it ever cross the fences of your wishes in their exaltation?
You began to bother about the power and gravity of my flow,
Did they ever drown any of your dreams and aspirations?
You got annoyed with some of my bitter truths, honest expressions,
Did you wish duplicity, untruthfulness, flattery from me?
Knowing well that loving and living in truth is my first love.

Tears gushed down from your eyes, drenched my heart,
Irrespective of authenticity of reason how could I see you cry?
I pray you humbly; close all doors and windows of your home,
Block all the ways of my sight reaching your eyes and its fluid,
But before that smile one last time heartily for me,
So that I can keep it as your sweet memory.

VANITY1

Blessed by Lord Shiva,
               Ravana assumed himself invincible,
Along with his sinfulness,
                     His proud reached the pinnacle.

Illegitimate salacity of his sister Supernakha
                          Got punished by virtuous Laksman,
To avenge that he abducted Sita
                                         The lord Sri Rama’s queen.

The seed of war between vanity of power
And grandeur of virtue sowed there
An example of triumph of truth
And defeat of proud was going to occur.

Armed with his forces of monkeys and bears
                                  The Lord reached Ravana’s fort
And humbly appealed the emperor,
To give him back Sita and avert a fight.

Bibhishana, his younger brother
Identified Rama as the master of the universe,
But the soul that is under the spell of proud,
                                        Often ignores the realities.

That was the case of knowledgeable Ravana,
The strips of proud blocked his insight
He kicked Bibhishana out of his fort,
And began to prepare a fierce fight

The Lord never tolerates proud or injustice,
And the result was the end of Ravana, his warriors
Hence, it is wise to kill your vanity,
Before it wipes you out of the sphere.

Sri Rama( also an incarnation of Vishnu )the prince of Ayodhya was in exile for fourteen years to fulfill a promise made by his father Dasharatha an ascendant of king Raghu. (There is a famous quote about this dynasty that I love to follow is ‘Raghukula riti sada chali ayi prana jaye par bachana na jaye’. This means ‘the custom of the dynasty of Raghu is that when a choice between death and breaking a promise will arrive in front of an ascendant of the king Raghu, he would prefer death over the breaking of the promise that is committed.)
Blessed by Lord Shiva (Mahesh) one of the tridev (the three lords Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh), Ravana the giant king of Lanka kidnapped Sita the wife of Sri Rama the prince of Ayodhya in exile. Sri Rama crossed an ocean and reached Lanka with his army of monkeys (banarasena headed by Hanuman), army of bears and his younger brother Laxmana. His principle was as usual, peace effort first, war only when peace proposals face rejection. He sent Angada a monkey warrior to the court of Ravana to hand over Sita to him. Bibhishana a wise councilor, younger brother of Ravana and an ardent devotee of Vishnu realize the graveness of the situation and recognize Sri Rama as an incarnation of Vishnu. He appealed before his elder brother to accept the proposals. But Ravana was proud of his strength, his vast giant army and truth was not vital for him. He kicked Bibhishana out of the palace. The result of a war between virtue and vice, vainglory and humbleness has been as always winner the virtue and humbleness. Ravana was killed along with all his warriors.

FAIRY

Once a domicile of heaven,
Walked down to me on her own,
Soothed my messy hair,
With her soft beautiful finger.

Whispered nectar in my ear,
“Look at me am I not beautiful dear?
I descend on the earth only for your care,
We will wander in the world of pleasure,
Together forever.”

My heart began to vibrate fast in her words,
Mind started to wander in Disney-world,
I discover myself flying in the firmament with her,
A strange, strong, divine feeling sprouted in my core,
My pen began to weave rhymes in her splendor.

Suddenly one day a tempest blew over our head,
Dust blinded my frightened eyelids,
Shower slackened my grip of her hand,
I found myself thrown on a barren ground,
Isolated, torn, scattered.

Ever since then,
I look towards the heaven,
I weep, yearn for her glisten,
Hoping and trusting a miracle to happen,
I do not know who will come to me first,
My end or my memory sweetest.

LIFE LONG

You are
The fragrance of this flower,
Air of this atmosphere,
Blueness of this sky,
Iris of my eye,
Waves of this ocean,
Epicenter of my vibration,
Ink of my pen,
Spirit of my creation,
Integral part of my soul,
A divine spark manifest in me, but invisible.

Give me happiness or pleasure,
Love or hate, as you desire.
You know my sweet feelings for you is so strong,
That I will move on carrying and caring you in me lifelong.

THE ARROW

When I prepare to,
Aim an arrow at arrogant you,
Then my inner being shouts,
What stupid you do with your sweetheart?

Its her you treated as the best,
Its she whom you worshipest,
Then how can you shot?
How can you hurt?

Disturbed by loneliness and discontentment
When in some unmindful moment
Fingers press the trigger unintentionally,
The arrow that goes out hits me harder than you practically.

I know these are unforgivable faults,
Irreconcilable are those arrow hits,
Tell me what can I do,
Tell me where can I go.

Leaving the field means making the love lose,
And retreating from my own vows,
You know that I can least afford,
That your lover can never withstand.
