WHEN I WILL GO AWAY

One does not feel the scarcity of light,
During the daytime.
In rainy season,
Lands do not face a shortage of water.

A rich man never understands,
The pain of hunger.
When in abundance and success,
No one reminds to thank God.

Until I am with you
You do not understand my significance,
When I will go away from you forever,
Certainly you will feel my absence.

I AM ANSWERABLE

   I
It makes no difference to me.
Whether you count me,
As a truthful and righteous man,
Or as a dishonest and scandalous person.
A trustworthy soul or a suspicious substance,
A man worth your friendship or avoidance,

As I know, your decision depends,
Totally upon the color of the glass,
That you wear over your eyes of intelligence.

The color of your glass depends,
  Upon your past interactions,
 With people and events,
And experiences gained out of them.

Your glass can be corrupt,
By your infatuation or hate
Pride, prejudice or ignorance,
Or by any other humane weakness.
II
Why should I become sad or excited,
Because of what you think about me,
When I know you are not,
An encyclopedia that stores everything,
The Google that knows everything,
 A god who creates everything,
On the other hand,
You are a mere erring human,
Well within your limitations,
And may not be perfect in your vision.

I within my limited wisdom always try,
To be good in my own eyes,
As I know I am answerable,
First of all to my own conscience,
And then to the almighty who owns me.

IT WAS REALLY NOT SO EASY

During our communications,
Our fair and humble interactions,
 Some vapors of sweet emotions,
 Began to congregate and condense,
In the firmament of my heart.

Some cool and favorable air,
Of your uttered and unuttered
Encouragements and assurances,
Made the cloud heavier,
More and more day by day.

Still it was not so easy,
For those clouds to rain.

Thunders of yeses and noes,
 Lightning of ifs and buts,
 Appeared and vanished,
On the surface my mind.

 Finally, one nice evening
The rain of those three words,
“I love you”
Poured down from my pen to wet,
 The surface of your heart.
It was really never so easy
 To rain, “I love you.”

LIGHT

I leave the hope of seeing a light in your sphere,
Not because I do not love you anymore,
But because you are designed to live in the darkness ever,
And to my humble appeals you closed your ears,
As you feel more comfortable there

TREE

I
 I plant a tree,
On a fertile land,
Water it, care its progress,
Protect it from external disturbances.

I do not do so with an intention,
To inhale the aroma of its flower,
Do not aim to eat its fruit,
Not even to claim an ownership.

I wish to die with the satisfaction,
That I cause a tree to blossom,
 A flower to smile,
With my sincere touch.

I want to leave my signature,
On a colorful form of life.
I wish something on the earth,
That represents my breath.

 II
As your pal when I encourage you,
To grow successful in your life,
I too do not have any intention,
To receive any gift from you.

That gardener me and this pal me,
Do not change in these changed situations.
In both the cases my soul,
Is free from expectation.

 III
 An actual tree might render,
Flowers and fruits to its gardener,
But I have a different notion,
About the human tree that one nourishes.

Maybe you are different and great,
But it is a proven bitter truth,
That human trees promptly forget,
To show gratefulness and admit a debt.

Rather if one expects an acknowledgement,
It disowns the man and detaches all connections.

WHEN THE CLOUD EVAPORATED

After a daylong conversation,
When the cloud of misunderstanding,
 Between the us two evaporated,
From the firmament of our hearts,
The moonbeams of peace,
Scattered all over my sphere,
Drenched every bit of my core.
A thicker flow of deep affection,
Oozes out of my heart, gush in your direction

I look at the nature,
The birds, the trees, the flowers,
They all look more beautiful, more soothing,
More pleasing, more romantic than earlier.
I thank God and thank you for all these.

FAKE FIGHT

On our differences of opinion,
 We fight like small children,
A series of allegations and explanations,
Counter complaints and clarifications
Continue in our daylong conversation,
Within decency and humble submission.

At the day end something happens,
 We succeed to restore peace,
With neither of us really wins or loses,
 Our deep affection emerges victorious.

Our hearts forget that we have ever fought,
From our memory we wipe out those moments,
For each other our hearts become more vibrant,
The bond becomes stronger with that fake fight
.
