I WILL BE WITH YOU

Irrespective of the whims of the tempest,
Ignoring the mood of my fate,
I will be with you on the same boat,
Sharing my innocent heart,
As long as it vibrates.

May this inauspicious event occur,
That you put your hands on your ear,
And avoid listening to my sweet hymn
But I am a man of resolution,
I once promised to sing for you, I will not ignore.

My love for you, is that pious flow of the Ganges,
Which is flowing in the same way from ages,
And I assure you, it will never change its course,
Never will it dry up before my demise,
I was, am and will always be with you.

VANITY

The Pandavas were deprived from their ancestral throne,
By the unrighteous Kauravas and their illegal possessions,
For which a war became evident between the brothers,
That Sri Krishna wished to avert as a peace messenger.

As a creator, he wished to carry out his dual duty duties,
To restore peace among his subjects and safeguard justice,
Hence, he humbly pleaded before the Hastinapur crown,
To grant five villages to the Pandavas, they can call their own.

Duryodhana, the prince underestimated the power of truth,
Significance of Justice and the almighty Sri Krishna’s worth.
He categorically rejected their very small offer,
Riding on the vanity of muscle power and an advantage of number.

Furthermore, he ordered his soldiers to arrest the messenger,
That compelled the Lord come to his original identity of Vishnu, the creator,
But was it enough to remove the strap of arrogance from his sagacity?
It remained there intact and caused destruction of his whole dynasty.

Whenever there is a rising up of the wickedness,
And a decay of the righteousness,
I manifest myself on the earth among human beings
To save the sacred souls and destroy the sinners.

These are Sri Krishna’s precious assurances,
To the holy souls, his dependents, his believers,
That he conveyed to Arjuna his devoted friend,
Latter on in the Mahabharata battlefield.

Sri Krishna, the incarnation of the supreme power Vishnu, approached the royal chamber of Hastinapura, as a messenger of the Pandavas and placed a peace proposal in front of the emperor Dhritarastra to avert a probable fierce war between the Kauravas and Pandavas.
Before the emperor could react, his arrogant son Duryodhana began shouting at Sri Krishna. He was proud of his ninety-nine brothers and warriors like Vishma, Dronacharya, Krupacharya and Karna etc.
He rejected the proposals, even refused to grant five villages to the deprived and deserving Pandavas.
When Duryodhana ordered his soldiers to arrest Sri Krishna, he showed His Vishwarupa (his identity as the owner of the universe) to the whole royal court. Even then, the strap of arrogance did not remove from the wisdom of Duryodhana. He preferred a war against the Pandavas of whom Sri Krishna was a friend, well-wisher and adviser. A strap of arrogance continued to blind Duryodhana throughout the Mahabharata war at the Kurukhetra. He failed to visualize the grip of destruction that gradually but evidently proceeded towards his family. No need to mention the outcome, the five Pandava brothers emerged winners over the one hundred Kaurava brothers (after all Sri Krishna was on their side, justice was on their side)

A BAR-DANCER

I once approached a  bar-dancer,
Told her "let us chant the Bhagawat Geeta together,
Discuss the depth of friendship between Krishna and Arjuna
Become friends like them, walk on their traditions.
Dip at the Ganges, wander in the Brindaban
Perform meditation,
Realize divinity,
Practice sanctity".

Do you know what she replied?
How furiously she reacted?
"I am a youngster, a pursuer of pleasure,
I like the floating lights of the bar,
Flying colors of the pot-house
Intoxicated and dreamy eyes
The music of jingling anklets is so sweet there,
I like to see the overflowing liqueur
Love to dance with people all night,
Under the attractive neon light
Do not interfere in my life, my ways, you seducer.
Why should I wander with a monotonous creature?"

I went away annoyed,
Her mindset cannot be changed,
Actually, I was a stupid,
I expected divinity from an unprincipled.

I PREFER PEACE

I by no means like a war
As it never reaches a happy settlement,
Rather, it harms both the sides
               Disturbs mutual growth prospects.

But when the truth
                             Is countered with a deceit,
A flirtatious and hideous
                          Is preferred over an honest.

A reminder of a promise
Is met with a blasting response,
Humbleness and innocence
     Are suppressed with high handedness.

Selflessness faces defeat,
                           At the hands of selfishness,
Divinity is crushed to hide your infatuation
                Humanity is answered with heartlessness.

A message of peaceful solution
Bounces back from a deaf ear,
That leaves the unarmed
In front of a no go closed door.

Will it be legitimate
To hide behind a curtain like a coward?
Will it not be a defeat
Of the truth at the hands of falsehood?

Still, I always preferred a conversation
For me, you are still an honorable person,
Come to the table with the truth
An open mind and a positive vision.

हम दोस्ती भी निभाना जानते हें और दुश्मनी भी ,
यह बात और है की आपने हमारे दुश्मनी को चुना।

Do you know?

Do you know?
The sun does not need to broadcast its contributions,
Towards the breeding and growth of the civilization.

Water and air do not come open to propagate,
That they preserve life-sustaining properties in their content.

The soil that feeds us does not come forward to declare,
That she needed to be called the mother of the nature.

Never a mirror is required to see or show the truth,
It is a clearly visible thing like the sun, the moon and the earth.

A true lover does not need to say in open awesome you are to me,
As her well-being, dignity and smile remains in his top priority.

A reader never needs to exhibit the book he buys to the writer,
No exhibition is required to show one’s knowledge hunger.

A well-wisher never hides behind a sweet and appeasing lecture.
Noble and beneficial intentions at times take harsh measures.

Showiness always contents a hidden agenda in its character,
You know dear, it is nothing but a flirting act to impress a sober.

I WILL KEEP MY PROMISE

I promised
To keep you in the golden casket of my heart,
Worship you until my heart vibrates,
My brush will paint only your portrait,
My chord will sing rhymes only in your glory,
I will always share with you unadulterated truth,
Be it bitter be it sour
I will never desert you,
Not even in my dreams,
You will remain my choice,
Between you and my existence.

Now you are appealing me to go away from you,
You wish me to break the promises I made to you.
Tell me how,
How can I breach my words?

I belong to that soil where a son went into exile,
For fourteen years
To respect the promises made by his father.
I inherited that culture in which a warrior,
Donated his lifesaver breastplate,
To keep his words.
I belong to that race in which a king,
Became caretaker of a crematorium,
Sold his wife, son to respect a promise.

For me truth is significant,
You and I are insignificant,
Loving and living in truth is life for me,
Loitering in untruth is death.
If you feel, I am a misfit in your world
Of flirtatious and fakers,
Then kill me if you can,
But do not tell me to break my promise.

Lord Sri Rama went into exile to fulfill the promises his father made to the queen.  Karna, the first Pandav donated his lifesaver breastplate in order to fulfill a promise.  The honest king Harishchandra sold his wife and son; became caretaker of a crematorium to repay the amount he had promised to a saint.

Do not ask me where I am.

Do not ask me where I am,
Be it evening, be it morning,
Be it summer, be it winter,
Touch your bosom and feel me,
See your rhymes and read me,
I am there in your vibration,
I am evident in your expressions.

Let the immaculate moon cry
Or the elegant stars fade,
I was, am and will be with you,
Smiling or crying with you,
Rhyming and chiming with you
Sharing and caring your emotions,
Exulting and exciting your intuitions,
Once I promised I will not disappear
Truthfully like the moon, the sun and the stars.
