EGO 4

Have you ever seen a haunted person?
Take a mirror of impartiality,
 And see your interior.
See there, ego as a ghost,
 In the disguise of self-respect,
 Is seating inside you,
And trying to reign over you.

Being an evil spirit,
 It does not reflect truth,
In to the screen of your soul,
Even though it sees well the truth.
Being a worshiper of darkness,
it blocks the way of your wisdom.

It too creates illusion of reality,
About fake earthly things,
And you think that you know everything,
To keep your inner-being in dark.

Take a torch of open and impartial  mindset,
Kick it out of you, to accept truth,
And reach to the divinity.

NOTE.... My poem on EGO is not directed towards anyone. It is directed towards myself only. Read you as pradiptapanda only.

EGO 3

Your white garment goes on soaking dust,
And you go on washing and using it,
After a big time interval your garment discolours,
Absorbing irremovable dust particles in its fibre,
Ultimately it loses its beauty and glow.

The same happens with your soul,
That goes on sheltering ego in it,
And losing its beauty and glow.
After   certain time limit,
No Satsang or preaches and teaches,
Can remove the dirt of ego from your soul,
Because no sermon enters an ego-deaf ear,
And ego-blinded eyes fail to see the truth.

With that cloth, you can throw it out of use,
And buy one more of your choice,
What will you do with your soul?
Will you continue as an ego-blind person?
Or you see it as a vice,
And wish to get rid of it.

It is you, you and none but only you,
Can renovate your inner-being,
Clean the dirt of ego out of yourself,
By having an open mind, an impartial soul,
Wide-acceptability, shrewd-adaptability,
Without bargaining your self-respect,

Now you get the freedom from ego-blindness,
Where your soul will proceed,
 Towards purification and beautification,
And ultimately towards divinity and God.

Note.. My poem on EGO is not directed towards anyone other than myself.

EGO 2

Go to a busy market place,
With a white paper sheet and a pen,
Give one dot on the sheet for yourself.

Stand there for a few minutes,
Give one dot for each soul that comes.
Think of the traffic there in one day,
Give one dot for everyone you imagine.

You are standing only in one market place,
Now think about all the market places,
All the places where human beings live,
Represent them on your paper with dots.

Now think about the past, present and future,
Think about the time immemorial and infinite,
Put one dot on your paper sheet,
For each soul that comes to your imagination.

See the numerous dots with your microscope,
Now trace out the individual dot that represents you,
Do you see which one is you?
Now you are lost among the jungle of dots,
“I” and “Mine” lost their existence.

Do you still have ego in you?
If Yes? Then You are a fool.

Note... My poem on EGO is directed towards myself only.

THE DAZZLING EDGES OF THE CHAKRA

He wished to see the Mahabharata war,
In the battle field of Kuruskhetra,
Between the Pandabas and the Kauravas,
Before ShreeKrishna beheads Belalasena.

As the story goes in the epic Mahabharata,
ShreeKrishna, the manifestation of Vishnu,
Empowered his severed head to see the war,
From above a pillar on the field of war.

Once the war was over, when asked,
What he had seen on the battlefield,
He said that he had seen the Chakra, a wheel,
With its dazzling sharp edges,
Moved all over the field and killed,
All those died in the Mahabharata war.

No need to mention that this Chakra,
Is the weapon of lord Vishnu, the Almighty.

EGO 1

Only a mind,
 That realizes the transitoriness,
And insignificance of individual life,
Can remain free from ego.

Only a mind free from ego,
 Can have a submissive head,
 A compromising conscience,
And a soft and humble tongue.

For a brain having wisdom,
Ego is nothing but foolishness,
A wrap that prevents sights,
Of the truth of right and wrong.

NOTE.. This poem is not directed towards anyone else, it is directed towards myself only.

EGO

In the name of “I” and “my decision”
Young couples prefer separation,
From their life partners,
Two good friends remain isolated,
Even for very petty differences of opinion.

A difference of opinion,
Or a clash of interest and choice,
Can easily be shorted out,
On a table of negotiation,
With two open minds.

But this “I” and “Mine” thoughts,
“I am right” and “I can’t be wrong,” notions
In the minds of the two people,
Are really individual egos of the persons
In the disguise of their self-respect,

 This ego is the cement,
 That builds an impenetrable fortress,
Around the minds of the two "I"s
Which does not allow humbleness,
To take the control of a situation,
And pave way for a nice compromise.

Note... Even love-marriages meet divorce for this Ego.
