DIVINE JOURNEY

When a soul,

 Learns about the momentariness of life,

 Visualizes its ultimate destination,

Realizes the significance of pursuing it,

It decides to change its lifestyle, the vehicle,

That would suit its course of the journey,

That would make it reach the destination.

As the goal of its living on the earth changes,

From material persuasions,

To spiritual achievements,

As the mission of its life changes,

From looking outside,

To peeping inside its own entity,

It changes its conveyance of material-seeking,

With the vehicle of divine-wisdom.

First of all it changes the engine “I”, the self-esteem,

Which takes it towards material objectives,

With the engine of “He”, the surrender,

That would take it to His domain.

Then it ties itself with a seatbelt of self-restraint,

Having threads of strong willpower.

It throws away the wheels of anger,

Allurement, accusation, expectations,

And connects the wheels of benevolence,

Silence, selflessness, detachment into its vehicle.

It throws away the fuel of falsehood, deception,

Fear of death, suspicion from the engine,

And replace them with the fuel of truthfulness,

Straightforwardness, tolerance and forgiveness.

Certainly there exists some probability of dirtiness,

Of body-thoughts, thirst for appreciation,

From the atmosphere getting into the engine,

And creating obstructions in its smooth running,

So it adds a filter of conscience, caution,

Relinquishment on its fuel tank.  

Automatically some co-passengers,

 Having colourful dresses and dreams,

Get down from its vehicle en-route,

But it never cares who drops out as it focuses,

Only on the path and not on the company.

It goes on keeping clean the headlights

Of its vehicle with meditation, study,

 Introspection and constant self-rectification.

When it succeeds driving its vehicle honestly,

Without deviating from the path,

Without taking its eyes of the destination,

Certainly rains of peace drenches it,

Wind of satisfaction takes away its tiredness,

And it fulfils the mission, reaches its destination.
